Local companies are not adequately represented at traditional on-campus career fairs. Consequently, many area students feel there aren’t many good jobs available in this area. Yet, many local employers say their ability to find the right talent is a primary driver of growth for their businesses.

Expositions is designed to expose local students to the professional and social opportunities the region has to offer and assist those who want to stay in the area after graduation. This joint initiative is presented by BigLickU.com and Delta Sigma Pi at Virginia Tech and sponsored by the City of Roanoke and the NewVA Corridor Technology Council.

Additionally, as many young adults select location first, then the job, it is important to showcase not only local employers, but lifestyle organizations which provide social and recreational opportunities. These groups will be also be represented at this event.
